Key Policies

  • Payments & fees: Teachers must not discuss, quote, collect, or negotiate fees with parents/guardians. All payment queries must be directed to Tutor Me reception/administration.
  • Student progress (not a “homework club”): Sessions are structured teaching and practice aligned to our curriculum and assessment. While homework may be set or reviewed, lessons are not for completing general school homework or large worksheet packs. Each session must target clear learning objectives and measurable progress.
  • Quality of support: Provide clear explanations, purposeful practice, frequent checks for understanding, and timely progress updates via approved channels. Adapt teaching to individual needs.
  • Resources: Use focused, high-quality resources. Avoid excessive printing; select materials that directly support learning goals. Materials created for classes remain Tutor Me property.
  • Communication boundaries: Use official Tutor Me channels only. Do not share personal contact details. Escalate concerns to the centre manager. Safeguarding and confidentiality apply at all times.
  • Attendance & punctuality: Arrive early, register attendance accurately, and report late/no-shows according to procedure.
  • Notice period: Provide a minimum of 4 weeks’ written notice for resignation, contract termination, or any long-term change in availability to allow timetable and staffing adjustments.
  • Session changes / cancellations: If you are unable to deliver a scheduled session, inform the Centre 24–48 hours in advance so we can reassign or notify families. For sudden illness or emergencies, notify as soon as possible.
  • Policy updates: Tutor Me may update or amend these policies and related centre procedures when required (e.g., operational needs, compliance). The most recent version communicated by Tutor Me applies from the stated effective date.
  • Non-compliance & termination: Failure to follow these guidelines, safeguarding rules, or reasonable management instructions may result in removal from the timetable and/or immediate contract cancellation.
  • Non-solicitation: For months after employment ends, do not tutor or solicit Tutor Me students introduced through Tutor Me without written consent.
